Object Name Mug
Description A "banded" mochaware or yellow-ware mug, named because of its coloring: yellow with white or brown bands. This mug has one wide white band near the top with four smaller brown bands below it. The mug measures 4 7/8 inches in diameter across mouth opening, and 4 3/4 inches tall. This style of mug was very common among clerks and the laboring class and were used primarily for malt beverages, but very few have survived undamaged.
